Looking for a performance
venue?
We’re forming our 2010-2011 season now!
Glebe-St. James United Church is centrally located in
Ottawa, and offers exceptional acoustics, large performance
area, and a seating capacity of 320. Our sanctuary contains
a three manual Casavant organ (ca. 1929; recently refurbished
and re-voiced), with a full pedal board and range of couplers,
a 5.5 ft. baby grand piano (Wm. Knabe, 1924), and recently
updated sound and lighting systems.
Our concert season is comprised of the “Concerts
in the Glebe Series” and, for the exceptional pre-professional,
the “Young Artists Series”. The season runs
September-May, with concerts held on Sunday afternoon
at 2:30. Concert programs about one hour length (intermission
optional) represent varied genres.
Remuneration: 70% of ticket sales. Ticket prices are
normally $15 (adult)/ $10 (student/senior), for the “Concerts
in the Glebe Series” and $10/$7 for the “Young
Artists Series”. Glebe-St. James has a ‘no
barriers’ policy, offering admission by donation,
or complementary tickets through Rev. Christine Johnson.
Please submit proposal by June 15th.
