The Good Shepherd by Mindi Oaten

Here's what you can expect at Glebe St-James on the Fourth Sunday in Easter:

  • Marsha Hay Snyder will welcome us.
  • Wendy Bergeron will acknowledge that the land on which we gather and work is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Algonquin People, unceded and unsurrendered.
  • Shelly Eckford will read the scripture, John 10:1-10.
  • Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead us in worship.
  • Our Minister of Music, Paul Grose, and the choir will share "The 23rd Pslam" as a Gift of Music. The choir's arrangement of "The 23rd Psalm" is based on a 1990 recording by Bobby McFerrin in which McFerrin records all the vocal parts by overdubbing his own voice. The song was written as a tribute to his mother, Sara McFerrin.
  • The setting for "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" for this week's organ prelude is by Douglas A. Wagner. The setting highlights a deep 16' solo stop combination for the melody.
  • "Fanfare For A Festive Occasion" is by Lani Smith,a prolific American organist and composer whopublished music under at least seven names.

Here is the bulletin for the service which allows you to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs, and prayers. You can stream the service live at 10:30 am on YouTube.
