Join us this October 5 for World Wide Communion Sunday
Happy October! Whether in person or on-line, you are welcome to be with us as we celebrate this important event. Join us starting at 10:30.

This week, on October 5 at 10:30, we celebrate World Communion Sunday. World Communion Sunday is an annual Christian observance held on the first Sunday of October that promotes unity and ecumenical cooperation among churches. Initiated in 1933 by Presbyterian pastor Dr. Hugh Thompson Kerr, it celebrates the Eucharist as a symbol of the global Christian community, emphasizing that Christians worldwide are connected by their common faith in Jesus Christ.
Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service. Susan Palmai will welcome us, and David Brown will offer the land acknowledgement. Liz Elton will read the scripture: Psalm 104:1-13, 24a. Our Minister of Music, James Caswell and the choir will lead us in music and song. Of course we will also be celebrating communion so it you are watching from home, please be prepared with some bread or cracker and a beverage so that you can join with us.
Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.
