Join us / Rejoignez-nous! In person or on-line this Sunday, Feb. 26th for the First Sunday of Lent / premier dimanche de carême

February 26, 2023

The first Sunday of Lent will be a special occassion as we not only begin this new season but also celebrate Black History Month with our friends from Eglise Unie Saint-Marc and musical guests, the Chorale de Toronto.

A special welcome to our Eglise Unie Saint-Marc guests and others from Toronto and Montreal. We’re delighted you’re here with us today! Une bienvenue spéciale à nos invités de l'Église Unie Saint-Marc et aux autres personnes de Toronto et de Montréal. Nous sommes ravis que vous soyez parmi nous aujourd'hui!  We will also celebrate communion this Sunday, so if worshipping from home, please prepare a cracker/bread and a beverage so that you can participate with us.  If you attend in person, please stay for lunch as our guests have prepared food to share!

Our service this week will be lead by our Minister the Rev. Teresa Burnett-Cole and Demanya Kofi Akoussah.  James Caswell, our Minister of Music and the choir will lead us in music and song along with a children's choir from Saint-Marc and guest choir, the Chorale de Toronto. Susan Toller, Florence Mepoubong and Isaac Kamta will also help to lead worship.

If you'd like to read the sermon, prayers and even the children's story, the Service Bulletin is linked below.

The scripture readings this week, are found in Matthew 4:1-11/ Matthieu 4:1-11

Our service bulletin with hymns, texts and announcements is linked here.
