Pentecost

May 31, 2020

Sunday, May 31, 2020 Worship @ GSJ

Where we recognize movements in the world that bring healing, hope, and abundant life for all creation,
there’s a pretty good chance that we’ve met the movement of the Holy Spirit. - Rev. Richard Bott

We are pleased to welcome Janet Nield to lead us in worship this Pentecost Sunday! Please have a small piece of bread or a cracker, as well as wine or juice to join with Janet in the celebration of communion.

Pentecost Sunday Scripture Readings: Acts 2:1-21; Numbers 11:24-30; Psalm 104:24-34, 35b; 1 Corinthians 12:3b-13; John 20:19-23; John 7:37-39

Bulletin: Follow along with readings, hymns, prayers and the reflection in the bulletin.

Announcements: Double check on any of announcements slides here

We celebrate with Rev. George Clifford, our minister of visitation, on his 88th birthday tomorrow, by singing Happy Birthday. Rev. George Clifford has lived the Gospel for 88 years, sixty of those as an ordained minister. His life and work have shown us discipleship in action, and so we dedicate our opening hymn to George!

Donating at a Distance: To make an "at a distance" donation to Glebe-St. James (to the operating fund, to outreach, to M&S, etc.) or specifically our ongoing COVID-19 outreach fund, you have several options: the web donation button, by mail, by setting up PAR (pre-authorized remittance) or by using the mail-slot on the 650 Lyon Street South entrance door. In each case, you can specify where you would like the funds to be directed!
See more on our "How can I Help?" page.

Have a question or a comment? Did something in the service make you think, or would you just like to say hello? Leave us a comment below - we'd love to hear from you.
