Sunday Oct. 1st - Join us in worship! It's Orange Shirt Day, the Feast of St. Francis and Worldwide Communion Sunday

October 2, 2023

This Sunday is the 4th Sunday of Creation, the first Sunday in October and we have many observances planned. We hope you can join us @ 10:30am!

Welcome to the season of Creation at Glebe St James! Join us in person or via our livestream on YouTube for our 10:30am service. This first Sunday of October, we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Creation with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, while also observing Orange Shirt Day in honor of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Additionally, it is also World Wide Communion Sunday! If you are celebrating with us from home, consider bringing a cracker or a piece of bread, in addition to a beverage to symbolize the communion wine.

Rev. Teresa Burnett Cole will lead us in worship. The scripture reading is from Luke 17:11-19, and will be read by Geoff MacGuire. James Caswell and the choir will help us lift our hearts and voices in music and song.

If you'd like to read along the sermon texts, prayers, hymn lyrics and even the children's story, find the service bulletin linked here.
