Third Sunday in Advent - JOY - December 14, 2025
Come and join us this Sunday, the third Sunday in the season of Advent starting at 10:30. This is also Pageant Sunday! Whoopee! Join us in person or online as you are able.
It’s the third week of Advent, part of that big wheel of time that every year turns us from the waiting of Advent to the joy of Christmas, to the waiting of Lent to the joy of Easter, to the waiting of Eastertide to the joy of Pentecost, to the joy of life in ordinary time and back again. For children and those young at heart, this week the service includes the ever popular 'Pop up Pageant'!
Here's what you can expect at Glebe St-James this Sunday:
- Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service.
- Wendy Bergeron will welcome us.
- Ruth Burnett-Cole will acknowledge that the land on which we gather and work is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Algonquin People, unceded and unsurrendered.
- Together we will enter into Advent 3 and light the third candle, the candle of Joy.
- Our Minister of Music, James Caswell, and the choir will lead us in music and song and play some parts in the traditional Christmas pageant!
