Welcome! Celebrate the 3rd Sunday in Epiphany with GSJ - January 21, 2024

January 21, 2024

Welcome to worship with GSJ - live at 10:30 am, or recorded here for whenever you're best able to join!

Be welcome at the third Sunday in the season of Epiphany - a celebration of light come into the world. Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett Cole will preside, Susan Palmai will provide the welcome, Liz Elton will read the scripture (Mark 1:14-20) and Susan Toller will offer the theme conversation.

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:30am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.

Join in on the online offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated. Gifting by means of e-transfer is now accepted using the email: [email protected] (please indicate to which fund you wish your donation to go to).

A reminder that WIGs this week is open to all, and will be on Zoom (join this link 12:15pm-1:30pm)- it's a chance to learn more about the outreach project WIGs spearheaded (and the whole congregation participated in) to pack boxes of baby goods to send to the north: Celeste Gotell, Executive Director of One Plane Away (OPA), has offered to speak to us about the work of the organization and answer any questions we may have. This is an ongoing project (baby hats are currently being knit!), so this will be a great chance to learn more about OPA.

You can now view the weekly announcement slides or on our "What's Happening?" page. Scroll through at your own pace, or let them auto-play - your choice! Sign up for our e-Update to keep up on more of the life and work of the church.

Let us know how we are doing! If you have any ideas, comments or feedback about the online (or in person!) worship experience, please contact the worship committee at: [email protected].
