One Plane Away - Update

Last Sunday (Feb. 25th), we (Womens Intergenerational Group and ReconciliAction) packed another 9 boxes of baby winter clothes, knitted hats and sweaters and baby blankets for delivery to Inuit moms and babies in Nunavut. This brings our total to 19 boxes to date. And love was packed into every 5 kg box. Thank you to all of you who have collected and donated these essential items to keep babies warm through the Nunavut winter. And thanks to the folks that helped us to pack the boxes and write the greeting cards.

On Sunday, March 3, the parents of Caris Madsen, who founded the organization, One Plane Away, will join us for worship and stay for coffee. We will use this opportunity to hand-deliver the cheque for $2000 which is part of the GSJ donation to One Plane Away. We are looking forward to meeting the Madsens and learning more about this wonderful organization.
