Join us on this Sunday, October 29th @ 10:30 - Reformation Sunday

October 29, 2023

Be with us this Reformation Sunday, in person or on-line, as we sing, pray and reflect together.

Join us this Sunday as we sing together and also reflect on this Reformation Sunday.  Join us in person or on YouTube for our 10:30 am service.

An important outcome of the Protestant Reformation was the rediscovery of the doctrine of grace – the unmerited, unconditional love of God that reaches out to us even before we reach out to God. And as the great Reformer, John Calvin, once wrote, the knowledge of God begins with knowledge of ourselves.

Let us also not forget the other tragedies and events that are happening in our world.

Rev. Teresa Burnett Cole will lead us in worship. The scripture reading is from Mathew 22:23-46 and will be read by Wayne MacWhirter. James Caswell and the choir will help us lift our hearts and voices in music and song; the Gift of Music will be 'The Gift of Love', an American Folk Tune, arr. Hal H. Hopson with Elizabeth Elton, playing the flute.

If you'd like to read along the sermon texts, prayers, hymn lyrics and even the children's story, find the service bulletin linked here.

Join in on the online offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated. On Friday the 20th of October, Arthur Reiner Hollbach passed away peacefully at his home in Ottawa at the age of 96. Glebe-St. James extends their deepest sympathy to his wife, Natasha and to their children Andrew and Susan.
