Please join us for our August 25 shared summer service at Glebe St James

On August 25th, we will celebrate and worship God together with our brothers and sisters in Christ in our neighbourhood (St. Giles Presbyterian, and Southminster United) and of course any other visitors who drop in. In addition there will be others who watch the service on line. All are most welcome! Our service will start at 10 AM at 650 Lyon St. in Ottawa or on-line (as you are able). 

Rev. Sue Toller will preside and will speak about Solomon's Temple and Gods Dwelling Place. The scripture readings will be 1 Kings 8:1, 6, 10-11, 22-30, 41-43. Solomon is the son of David. In today’s reading we see how Solomon has taken on the desire of his father, in building a temple for the Lord. David had wanted to do this himself, but God decided this work would not be done during David’s life. So Solomon took on this task over the period of seven years.

We will be led in music by Sarah Westbrook who is the Director of Music at Southminster United. Welcome Sarah!
