Please join us virtually for the Fourth Sunday in Lent - March 30th at noon on zoom

March 28, 2025

Join us on-line, be welcomed among us as we gather for the Fourth Sunday in Lent at noon on zoom

Due to the poor weather, Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead a shortened service on zoom beginning at noon. The program may vary from what we have published in the order of service but originally: Pam Fitch will welcome us, and Rev. Sue Toller will offer the land acknowledgement and the Theme Conversation for children and adults. George LeDrew will read the scripture: Luke 15: 1-10. Our Minister of Music, James Caswell and the choir will lead us in music and song; the anthem will be "I Give You a New Commandment" by Peter Aston.

Today we will reflect on the "foolishness" of Jesus' parables about the lost sheep and the lost coin, challenging our conventional wisdom with a radical, reckless love that seeks out the lost without hesitation. Join us as we explore how this divine foolishness calls us to embrace vulnerability and joyfully extend love to all, especially those who are often overlooked.

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. We will record the service and make it available on YouTube.

The service will be followed by the Annual Congregational Meeting.  Not to be missed if you want to participate in the inner workings of Glebe St James!
