Join us for the Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost at Glebe St James, September 7th at 10:30

September 7, 2025

Please join us this Sunday, in person or on-line, as we return to our regular schedule.  Service starts at 10:30 or can be viewed later on YouTube.

Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole is on her sabbatical leave until next week's service.

In Rev. Teresa's absence, this Sunday service will be lead by a returning member of the Licensed Lay Worship team, Maureen Stark. Liz Elton will welcome us and offer the land acknowledgement. Wendy Bergeron will read the scripture: Matthew 5:43-48; Matthew 6:14-15; and Luke 6:37. We welcome back our Minister of Music, James Caswell, and the choir, who will lead us in music and song. The anthem will be 'Change my heart, O God' by Eddie Espinosa.

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am at this YouTube link; after the service ends it will be available to watch as a recording.

During the service, a video from the Rt. Rev. Dr. Carmen Landsdowne, Moderator  of the United Church, will be played; the video is 2:40 in duration.  If you are watching from home, your audio and video experience may be better by watching the video directly from your device (mute the service momentarily if you are watching the Moderator's video directly).

Join in on the online offering plate for M&S, Outreach & GSJ operational needs! If donating online, you can indicate on the 'paypal' page where you want your gift to be dedicated (our operating fund, capital fund, music fund, or other charity). Gifting by means of e-transfer is now accepted using the email: [email protected] (please indicate to which fund or charity you wish your donation to go to).

You can now view the weekly announcement slides or on our "What's Happening?" page. Scroll through at your own pace, or let them auto-play - your choice! Sign up for our e-Update to keep up on more of the life and work of the church.

Let us know how we are doing! If you have any ideas, comments or feedback about the online (or in person!) worship experience, please contact the worship committee at: [email protected].
