Join us this Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 10 AM, for Pride Sunday!

August 25, 2023

Join us in person or on-line at 10 AM, this Sunday, August 28th.

Join us in person or via our livestream on YouTube starting at 10 AM.

Every service at Glebe St. James begins with a welcoming message that says 'Glebe-St. James is an Affirming Community of Faith in the United Church of Canada. Everyone and their gender, race, ethnicity, abilities, and sexual orientation is welcome and celebrated in our worship.' Today, Pride Sunday, we really want to make that message come alive. It is important that we share our welcome as an Affirming Congregation. We have good news and we need to share it! GSJ will be joining the other local Affirming congregations to march in the PRIDE parade after service. It is a wonderful time to support the local 2SLGBTIAQ+ communities. Arrive no later than 1:30 pm at staging area on Laurier between Nicholas and Elgin and look for the Glebe St. James banner.

The Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole, our Co-ordinating Minister, will lead this service. The scripture reading is from Acts 15:5-13 and will be read by Hilda Sabadash. James Caswell will lead us in music.

If you'd like to read along the sermon texts, prayers, hymn lyrics and even the children's story, find the service bulletin linked here.
