Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols Service 7:30

December 22, 2025

Please join us for this special Christmas Eve Service!  There will be music and light and sound, and hope, peace, joy and love.

Welcome to Glebe St James United Church.  Peace be with you.  Please join us Christmas Eve at 7:30 to celebrate this highpoint in the church's calendar.  You can join us in person or online via our livestream on YouTube.

Here's what you can expect at Glebe St-James this Sunday:

  • Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service.
  • Pam Fitch will welcome us and will acknowledge that the land on which we gather and work is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Algonquin People.
  • Marilyn Hamilton will read the scripture: Luke 2:1-20
  • Our Minister of Music, James Caswell, and the choir will lead us in music and song and present several Christmas anthems including "Echo Carol", an Old French Carol Tune, arr. Dr. Alfred Whitehead; "Mary Sings A Lullaby" by David Lantz III; "Do You Hear What I Hear?" by Noel Regney & Gloria Shayne, arr. Harry Simone.  Julia Barry will sing a solo "O Holy Night" by Adolphe Adam, arr. John Rutter.

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs, and prayers. You can join the service live at 7:30 pm on YouTube; after the service ends, it will be available to watch as a recording.

Join in on the online offering plate for Mission & Service, Outreach & other GSJ operational needs! If donating online or via e-transfer, you can indicate on where you want your gift to be dedicated (our operating fund, capital fund, music fund, or other charity).
