Christmas Eve Family Service at 4:30

December 22, 2025

Please join us for this Christmas Eve Family Service at 4:30

Whether you are with us in person or online, welcome!  We are happy you are here.  For those with children or who are children at heart, this service is for you.

  • Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service but she expects participation from everyone!

She will say "Welcome, friends, to Christmas at Glebe-St. James! We meet this Christmas Eve on the land of the Algonquin, and we thank them for caring for this land, its plants and animals. I invite you to listen to the story of the birth of Jesus as told through the Christmas ABC’s. You’ll need to pay close attention. Every time that I say the word “Shepherds,” the Shepherds will hold up their signs and say “Let’s go see!” Every time I say the word “Angel,” the angels will hold up their signs and shout, “Hallelujah! And every time I say the words “Wise Ones,” the Wise Ones will hold up their signs and say, “Look, a star!” Are you ready to begin?"

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs, and prayers. You can join the service live at 4:30 pm on YouTube; after the service ends, it will be available to watch as a recording.

Join in on the online offering plate for Mission & Service, Outreach & other GSJ operational needs! If donating online or via e-transfer, you can indicate on where you want your gift to be dedicated (our operating fund, capital fund, music fund, or other charity).
