Fourth Sunday in Advent - Love - December 21, 2025

December 19, 2025

Please join us in person or on-line for this service in week 4 in Advent starting at 10:30.

It’s the fourth week of Advent, the count down to the big day coming later in the week.  We are full of anticipation!

Here's what you can expect at Glebe St-James this Sunday:

  • Rev. Dr. Teresa Burnett-Cole will lead the service.
  • Jim Louter will welcome us.
  • Rebecca Dalton will acknowledge that the land on which we gather and work is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Algonquin People, unceded and unsurrendered.
  • Together we will enter into Advent 4 and light the fourth candle, the candle of Love.
  • Brad Munro will read the scripture: Matthew 1:18-25
  • Our Minister of Music, James Caswell, and the choir will lead us in music and song and present the anthem: The Yearning with words by Susan Bentall Boersma and music by Craig Courtney.  Julia Barry will sing "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion" from Handels Messiah.

Here is the bulletin for the service to follow along with the words of texts, hymns, songs, and prayers. You can join the service live at 10:25 am on YouTube; after the service ends, it will be available to watch as a recording.
